Good Ice Cream:

1. Dave %26amp; Andy's (Oakland...about 10-15 minutes from downtown)

2. Mercurio's (Shadyside...15-20 minutes from downtown)

3. Klavon's (Strip District)



Sightseeing:

1. Incline (the trains going up the mountain...GREAT pictures to be had)

2. Carnegie Science Center (On North Side)

3. PNC Park (baseball stadium...tours offered...also on North Side)

4. Warhol Museum (also on North Side)

5. Carnegie Museum of Natural History (Oakland...10-15 minutes from town)

6. Cultural District (some plays and theater shows)

7. Rivers Casino (opens in August...on North Side)

8. Gateway Clipper Fleet (boat tours/rides around Pittsburgh)

9. Point State Park %26amp; Fort Pitt Museum (at the confluence of the three rivers)
There's Market Place for shopping and dining. You can take a Pittsburgh Ducks sightseeing tour. It's a land and water tour that lasts for an hour. You go past all the great attractions in Pittsburgh. The tour is informative and fun. More great attractions are the Duquense and Monongela Inclines. Take a ride to the top and you'll get beautiful views of Pittsburgh. They have some restaurants and coffee shops at the top. Also, visit The National Aviary, also located downtown. They have many beautiful birds. You can feed the lorikeets and see many interesting shows. They have a new penguin exhibit, too. Hey! I'm glad you're visting my city of Pittburgh! Go downtown, no go to Mt.Washington and take incline down to station square. Or you can go to get a hoagie somewhere here downtown. You can go kayaking on the Monongahela, and at Mt.Washinton, there's a ice cream place.also you can go to Robinson Mall and go shopping. That's fun. Have fun! Our weather in unpredictable though. And it can be really hot sometimes, and then cool at night.
