Saw a cooking show from a restaurant in the Pittsburgh area serving "holopskis" Not sure of the spelling. It has bacon, cabbage, onions and pasta.
Anyone have a good recipe for this?

This is how we make it in our house, this was my Grammy's recipe and yes I am from Pitts.
Fry up the diced bacon( about 7 or 8 slices) until it's nice and crispy. You can remove it if you want, and put it back in at the end, but I just leave it in the pan. Add a diced onion, and cook. Add the cabbage( 1 head, shredded) and toss well, cooking to your preference (crispy/limp), we like it well cooked. Then toss in the cooked noodles( 1 package) and mix well. Fry it all up together till the noodles and cabbage are well mixed, and the bacon well dispersed throughout. Season to taste with salt and pepper, or sometimes we add a little sugar instead making it a sweeter dish.
Did you see this on the foot network, dinners drive-ins and dives? Love that show.Does anyone have a good recipe for holopskis?
