For my 16th birthday, my mom and I are going into New York City for a day trip. We're taking the Mega-bus from Pittsburgh. We're gonna arrive at about 7 am, and will be boarding the bus to go home at 11 pm. I want to shop in the city, and we're hoping to see a broadway show in the evening. What stores/restaurants (for breakfast %26amp; dinner) do you recommend? I only have 1 day and i want to do as much as I can :)Shopping Day trip in New York City - recommended stores / restaurants / sights?
SoHo! easy. also, the 59th st bloomingdale's is absolutely amazing (very pricey though). one of my favorite things to is to go the high-line (in chelsea, along the hudson). i also love walking through washington square park right at NYU. there's always fun stuff going on there. one of my favorite restaurants is 10 Downing on 10 downing street in the west village. other favorites include: an ethiopian restaurant on mcdougal st (by 3rd st, the name is escaping me), the bluewater grill (union square) and if you're looking for something more midtown, i'd suggest La Maison and Lucy's. if you happen to be up at the Columbia area, there's the restaurant from Seinfield (well, it's a diner) and it's a really cool place to go to with all of their signed stuff from the cast hanging up on the walls. i hope this helps!!!
- The five best malls to shop in NY.
1. The Manhattan Mall
2. The Queens Center Mall
3. Queens Place Mall
4. The Kings Plaza Mall in Brooklyn
5. Roosevelt Field in Garden City, NY
6. The Newport Center Mall in Hoboken, NJ
In Greenwich Village, Bianca's on Bleecker and the Bowery - Very good Italian food - prices are excellent - I don't think they have anything over $15.
Celeste, on the Upper West Side on Amsterdam and 84th - great bargain - excellent Italian food - prices are very reasonable - nothing more than $15, service is pleasant - a really nice place.Shopping Day trip in New York City - recommended stores / restaurants / sights?
I would suggest visiting a magnicant Church, Times Square Church on the corner of 51st St W, and 8th Ave, and Broadway in Manhatten. BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL Church!
