I am going to Pittsburgh? Can anyone recommend any inexpensive restaurants?

yunz (pittsburgheze) haven't been to Pittsburgh unless you have visited Primanti Bros. ( many locations thoughout town) they make a great sandwich with cole slaw and f.f. on it, sounds weird I know. But it is great .and not that expensive. Wholeys in the Strip is good for a fish sandwich. We have the major chains too in the area. TGI Fridays, Chili's Apple bees but it is the same old fare. Quaker steak and lube is good for wings but it is just OK. You really want to get the flavor of Pittsburgh,Primanti's and Wholeys are your best bets.I am going to Pittsburgh? The Hard Rock Cafe is always good. I also really like Quaker Steak and Lube, it has great food with a fun car theme.
Why would you come to Pittsburgh?! Anyway, Sushi Tomo on McKnight Rd is AWESOME, Khalil's on Baum Blvd in Oakland, and Sonoma Grille in the Cultural District has a great wine list and is fairly inexpensive, and My Thai in Shadyside is really good.I am going to Pittsburgh? Buger King, McDonald's, Etc. Chain restaurants are everywhere.
On the northern side of the city in Sharpsburg is a little place on Main Street across from Family Dollar. It's family owned. They serve GREAT breakfast and lunch. The food is fresh, helpings are huge, and it costs around $6.

In the Strip district, there is DeLuca's for breakfast. Crowded, but a MUST! Cheap, probably $5.

Lunch, you have to go to Primanti Bros. They are now scattered all over. Get a sandwich, should be $7.

On the South Side, there is the Diner. Open all of the time, the food is pretty good, and it's inexpensive there. Typical diner food.
Eat N Park is always a good place to go. Good food, great prices, nice atmosphere
