Hi my friend and i are planning to head to Pittsburgh in a few weeks we are two girls travelling from a very small town in Ontario so can you guys let us know where we shouldn't go and what restaurants and stores are really nice but not overly pricey i think we are gonna go to Heinz Field and some of the museums to but any help in directions and stuff would be awesome Thanks! Some questions for the people of Pittsburgh PA?
South Side of Pittsburgh has a lot of cool shops during the day and a kick *** bar scene all of the time especially at night.
Mt Washington will give you the best view of the city. Its beautiful. Unfortunately the point is being renovated so you will miss out on that. Another shopping area called Station Square has a lot of trendy restaurants and shopping.
The best place to go for cheap fun is the strip district which is where a few of the museums are located it also has bars restaurants and night clubs.
Be careful of some of the places in Oakland at night, (University of Pitt) there are museums in that area too. I hope you have fun, I love my city.
Go 1148 miles due south and stop in Cape Coral FLSome questions for the people of Pittsburgh PA?
I lived in pittsburgh for a while. Go down to Carson street (AKA the south side) there's lots of restaurants and shopping and bars.
station square also has lots of shopping and restaurants. Pittsburgh itself isn't really that expensive. you can go on the river boat tours, they are pretty nice, you get to see a lot of pittsburgh, and learn a lot of the history. Thats also in station square, it's like $12-20
you can go to the science center, andy warhol museum .
hey i just moved from there to Charlotte,NC
feel free to ask me anything cwilliams0414@yahoo.com
But the south side is very nice and there is a hotel off of east Carson street now on 7Th street or is it 17Th street? Sorry! That street has good night life and day time eateries where you can eat outside or some cozy WI-fi access coffee shop. Great people and most are in college or graduated and are very educated. They go there and Oakland to let loose and have a good time. The north shore is nice with their football and baseball stadiums/fields also a museum. The strip district near town has clubs too but some have a bad rep. if it looks shaky or not your kind of crowd. then do not enter it. Have fun and be careful.
