Any good, original restaurants that anyone can recommend, in or near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania?

The Primanti Bros. restaurant, which is in downtown Pittsburgh (right down in the Golden Triangle) next to the PPG (Pittsburgh Plate Glass) Building...the PPG building is the one made all of glass with four glass points at the top, one in each corner of the square top...can't miss it. They serve unique sandwiches which are HUGE...the best-selling sandwich is the Pitts-burgher Cheese Steak which is served on two large slices of Italian bread with cheese, steak slices, coleslaw, and french fries ON the sandwich - delicious!Any good, original restaurants that anyone can recommend, in or near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania?
Bona Terra

908 Main St. (Church St.)

Pittsburgh, PA 15215

412-781-8210

This is not an Italian restaurant. Bona Terra means good earth in Latin, and the name reflects chef-owner Douglass Dick's commitment to sustainable agriculture. Describing his cuisine as ingredient-driven, he focuses on issues of responsibility, good husbandry and fresh, local food, purely produced, organic if possible. The intimate restaurant's ambience is Spartan, but original art hangs on the walls and copper tops an attractive bar. Service is thoughtful, and lack of a liquor license lets you bring in your own bottle for a modest corkage fee. Dick's classically-based style unfolds in contemporary twists. He shows wizardry in seasoning, checked by restraint, letting the food's natural flavors shine. Memorable appetizers include: roasted organic Black Mission figs with Gorgonzola-mascarpone mousse and julienne of Serrano ham; seared sea scallops with grilled local peaches, micro-green salad and lemon verbena buerre blanc. Meats are of impeccable quality and brilliantly prepared. Pristinely fresh fish triumphs. Try miso-glazed dayboat cod, with braised baby bok choy, sweet potato pur茅e and fried ginger garnish.Any good, original restaurants that anyone can recommend, in or near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania?
