I am 21 years old and 4 classes shy from an Associates degree. I took a year off to have fun and figure out exactly what I like to do.
I have an internship as a Marketing Coordinator and I admit I am not a good intern , I find the work boring and restrictive.
I have over 1 year of sales experience and love sales, but don't want to make a career out of it unless its outside.
HOWEVER, this year I joined a Street Team for a large concert venue in town and found that I loved promoting and networking. I have also discovered that I have a passion for planning parties, and I have a networking group in which I plan all the events. Plus I just got asked by a night club to plan some parties for them.

So the problem is that I want to get a degree in Advertising and Hotel %26amp; Restaurant Management but from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
I want eventually be a freelance Promoter and Event Planner, so will my clients care about where I got my degree?

You DO NOT NEED a degree to be an Event Planner. You just need to know HOW and have good contacts. Based on your question, you are currently MORE qualified than you would be if you took the class. A degree is NEVER worth the paper it is printed on. What you DO with the knowledge you are supposed to gain while earning the degree is what is important.
The site http://www.ripoffreport.com has a post about art institute of pittsburg. Just type into search.
Please be wary of online, for-profit schools such as penn foster, stratford career, university of phoenix, strayer and others as they are merely out to 'make a profit': http://www.uopsucks.com
I would instead stick with traditional colleges that offer some online courses. US colleges: http://www.utexas.edu/world/univ
General career info: http://www.bls.gov/oco and search 'meeting and convention planners' or such.Looking to become a Promoter and/or Event Planner with an Online degree?
In today's age of technology, degrees that are earned online are beginning to be seen more and more equally to campus programs. However, similar to campus programs they are not all the same. I would recommend checking out a number of schools (the good thing about getting your degree online is that you are not restricted by location) and see which one is the best fit for you and your needs. I also would recommend getting a bachelors degree and not just your associates degree. I did a search for hospitality management and found this site below:
