In May my one year anniversery with my boyfriend is coming up. We had a really nice weekend planned to go to Pittsburgh, but after moving out of my parents and such and him working part time, we can't afford to go right now. I really wanted to get him this nice ring I've found on sale. But he doesn't want me to spend $100 when my money is so tight right now. I really want to get him something nice and thoughtful. I already made him a scrapbook and I was thinking about one of those fleece blankets, but its like May. lol. Hes a very simple, kind and wholesome guy who loves me to the moon and back. He's not in to fancy, materalistic stuff butI feel terrible becuase I can't afford a really nice gift right now.
We decided to go to a nice restaurant for dinner, which I'm exicted about because he doesn't dress up much.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a thoughtful affordable gift for the person I love more then anyone?
Thanks so much!Gift Advice Please!?
One year is supposed to be the paper anniversary.
I sent our wedding invitation to my wife's favorite celebrity (Chris Evert - Tennis Player) with a note explaining how big a fan she is, and she signed it with a nice message and returned it. It took a while, but it was perfect.
It's been almost 11 years and it's framed and hanging in our living room.
She gave me a calendar with special pictures of our time together. I loved it.
Prior to the gift exchange, my mother-in-law bet me a dollar that my wife's gift to me would be more special than the other way around. Later she decided that I won.
