So I'm having my birthday party at a restaurant but i'm trying to save as much money as possible. I'm gonna use a $10 off coupon but I also found a website (giftcards.com) that sells $100 giftcards for $90. The thing is, the estimated shipping time is 2-9 days through USPS and my party will be this coming Saturday, January 9. It ships from Pittsburgh, PA and I live in Los Angeles, CA. The cost to have it expedited through Fedex isn't worth it. That would be $40 for shipping, so that's not an option for me.
Should I take the chance, order it and risk it not coming on time? Do you think it will come on time? My mom made the point that sometimes there's snowstorms on the east coast/midwest and such that could possibly delay shipping times. I don't want to be stuck with a $100 giftcard if it doesn't come on time because it's not a restaurant I go to often enough. They don't offer refunds. Or do you guys have other suggestions? My goal is to save as much money as I can.
Also, do you think the restaurant would be nice enough to give me an additional discount for my birthday and for spending so much money? I don't know how many people are coming yet but I'm guessing around 10. By the way, it's at Buca di Beppo.Should I order a giftcard?
Yes!
